gwSaar will be using a modern exhibition concept to promote their industrial, innovative location under the ‘Germany’s Saarland’ international brand at the Hannover Messe trade fair, taking place from 20 to 24 April.
The Hannover Messe, which begins on Monday, is the most important industrial trade fair in the world and a central platform for innovation in the fields of industry, energy and future technologies. The gwSaar joint stand (Hall 11, Stand D41) will serve as a unique showroom and meeting point, as well as a platform for presenting products and for information and networking.
Minister of Economic Affairs Jürgen Barke: ‘The Hannover Messe is a key event that helps to set the course of economic policy. At a time of global upheaval, we need to ensure added industrial value, boost our technology and forge new partnerships. Saarland offers the ideal setting for this and is positioning itself as a competitive industrial location at the heart of Europe.’
The aim of the trade fair stand is to increase international awareness of Saarland’s capacity as a hub of industry and innovation, provide Saarland companies with global networking, promote cross-sector integration and open up new business areas.
This is being underscored by one particular highlight on 20 April, namely the visit by an American business delegation led by Governor of Utah Spencer J. Cox, which will be building on existing contacts with gwSaar to learn more about the capabilities of local industry and explore cooperation opportunities. The Saarland state government will be represented by Minister of Economic Affairs Jürgen Barke, who will also be attending the ‘Utah-Saarland Business Alliance Forum’ (Saarland delegation to the federal government, Berlin) the following day.
The ‘Germany’s Saarland’ joint stand will feature seven Saarland partner companies, associations and institutes presenting their products and services to an international audience. These are:
